FISHING
[ top ]

Kootenay Lake is home to a variety of fish species including the famous Kokanee Salmon, Gerrard Rainbow and Dolly Varden. If you are looking for a Fall/Winter activity other than skiing, October to May are the best months to fish Kootenay Lake. It's a big lake, however, and if you are unfamiliar with it, an easy way to find the best fishing spots is to take a tour.
